Ouch!

I’m a bit busy at the moment what with one thing or another, but I got this in an E-mail from Nick Wilson showing exactly what happens when you try to tailgate a bus over the bus lane bollards in Manchester. Just an observation, but do the people who try to tailgate look like they are accelerating hard?

Mind you, having seen what some of the heavy duty anti terrorist bollards will stand up to, you’ll understand why I wouldn’t be keen to try it myself.
The girl in the first car is rushing to the sales.
The council in Manchester installed some retractable bollards to stop people using bus lanes. It's causing a bit of uproar with the public.
Click on the link to find out why.
PS keep an eye on the windscreen of the white van.

Serves the buggers right.

The signs are plenty big enough - the bollards are bright enough. The only excuse is that they are trying to get away with something they are not entitled to do.

These people who think that rules don't apply to them are the bane of our lives. I bet every one of them complained to the council and lied about what happened, until shown the video evidence.

I hope their insurance companies told them to get stuffed as well!

I hope I see someone do this "in the flesh" one day. I will probably injure myself laughing at them.

What do you mean, intolerant?? :-)

Haha, that's great.

Although you can see the courier becoming the victim of not wearing a seatbelt - a nice bullseye in the windshield.

I think we should have at least one set of these in every town, it would get a lot of idiot drivers off the roads while they had their vehicles repaired at their own cost and would be a lesson to all watching while being great entertainment.

It's the black Kia that gets me - how the fsck can someone be as stupid as to try that with their children in the car? I mean, besides being as stupid as to try it at all...

Morons, all of them. I can only hope someone takes the black 4x4 driver out of the gene pool before they breed again. I think it would be a great use of council tax to have this playing on a large screen at the side of the bollards.

Wow, just clicked on the anti terrorist link, you'd not get any more trouble from anyone who tried that!
